On 21 November 2025, the Makovecz Campus Foundation held a book launch event in Piliscsaba. On the former campus of the Faculty of Humanities of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, István Fazekas, professor at Eötvös Loránd University and former archival delegate in Vienna, introduced Péter Tusor’s English-language monograph The Habsburgs, the Pope, Klesl and Pázmány. Macro- and Micropolitics on the Eve of the Thirty Years' War (1614–1618). The volume, edited in English by Dániel Bácsatyai, was published in the newly established Collegium Professorum Hungarorum book series.
The Fraknói Research Group is connected to the CPH’s historical research and activities through several strands of interactive cooperation. A key element of this collaboration is the training of young scholars: courses in Italian, Latin, palaeography, medieval, ecclesiastical, and papal history were launched in September 2025 on the Catholic University’s former campus. The classes are held in the renovated and refurbished Augustineum (Bibliotheca). Among the CPH’s “project sections”, the Research Group maintains links exclusively with the classical philology, art history, archaeology, and philosophy divisions.
For the other volumes presented, see the invitation below.
